Info for booked bands; directions etc.

You are playing at Rally in the Square, a fundraiser for ArtSpace/Lima. The reputation the Rally has with bands is superb; nice staff, a fun and generally large crowd, professional stage/roof/sound system, and an all-around good vibe. Many bands put the Rally at the top of their list for places to play.

You must provide a tax ID or Social Security number to be paid. You will be paid by check. See staff person at the token table for your payment, drink tokens, and restroom/dressing room arrangements. Drinks are provided for band members only. Food is not provided. There are sandwich shops in the immediate area, ask the staff for suggestions. Rooms are not provided for this  gig. If you want suggestions on hotel rooms, call the staff at 419-222-1721.

Please show up with enough time to set up and do a sound check. ArtSpace provides sound for the Rally. Pay attention if you are coming from a different time zone or your state is not on daylight savings time, etc.

You will start at 6:30 p.m. sharp and end at 9:30 sharp. We cannot extend the event if you arrive late and you may have your fee reduced if you do not start on time. The 24 by 24 stage has a covered roof in the event of rain, but you need to have some plastic handy to prevent blown spray getting on your gear.

We need a either a 60 minute set, a 30 minute break, and a 90 minute set, or two 75 minute sets with a 30 minute break. You pick. Please adjust your set list accordingly. The crowd is more "into it" and dancing in the last set.

FOH and stage volume will be strictly controlled by the front of house engineer hired by ArtSpace, and all SPL issues are determined by ArtSpace. You must advance the date with the sound co. at 419-422-6732, Jeff Dean of Dean Sound. Also be sure to contact Mike Baker 2 weeks prior to the gig for final advance.
ArtSpace/Lima  has hosted many top quality professional acts on this very stage, who have understood and complied fully with our guidleines.  All bands will please do the same. Thank you.

The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side.
